    Overview

    Hi!  I’m Chris –  a British freelance digital marketing specialist, currently based in Valencia, Spain.

     

    My award-winning work has spanned multiple industries, including e-commerce, fashion, FMCG, charity, entertainment and more, so I am sure I will have some previous experience relevant to your industry.

     

    Plus, having worked with global brands I am well versed in working remotely – dealing with different languages, locations, timezones and hemispheres.

    Head of Marketing – Valencia, Spain

    October 2016 – April 2017

     

    I was employed by Waremakers as Head of Marketing for a period of 7 months, planning their 2017-18 marketing and communications strategy, ready for the launch of their new website after the brand received substantial funding from the Danish retail organisation, BestSeller.  Key responsibilities included converting business goals and objectives in to measurable actions in order to plan, write and implement the marketing and communications strategy.  In addition, my role required the identification of new talent necessary for the delivery of these goals and objectives – hiring the individuals for whom I was the line manager, managing and reporting on all marketing and communications strategies and activities, stakeholder management, B2B and B2C publicity & communications planning and management (including weekly newsletters and brand/blogger partnerships), briefing and managing freelancers for content creation (animation, live action and product photography) and SEM & SEO optimisation, as well as planning and implementing social media advertising and organic activities.

     

    Premier Public Relations

    Head of Social / Digital & Social Strategy Director – London, UK

    November 2014 – February 2016

     

    I was employed by the UK’s leading Arts, Entertainment & Culture communications agency, Premier Public Relations to head up the exisiting Social Media team and to manage the Digital and Social strategy for the organisation as a whole, which comprised of over 170 people.

     

    Clients & projects came from a wide range of sectors under the Arts, Entertainment and Culture banner, including Film (Lionsgate, Warner Bros & Universal), TV (Teletubbies), Games (Pokemon), Theatre (The Curious Incident of the dog in the Nighttime), Events (London Film Festival), Brands (Durex) and more.

    I was employed by Gravity Thinking for a period of 3 months to manage the Glenfiddich Whisky Global & UK account, as well being instrumental in securing new business with Allianz Insurance.  My role also included delivery of periodic activities for brands such as The Balvenie (Canada), Tullamore D.E.W (Global) and Sailor Jerry.

     

    Reporting into the Senior Account Director and Managing Partners, I managed the Client Services team through current campaigns, planned the 2015 brand digital strategy, as well as creating and delivering the 2013-2014 financial report.
